My daughter Ariel hasn't been feeling too well lately. Yesterday as I was eating lunch she asked me if she could have bite of my soup. My first thought was "NO! She sick, I don't want to get sick too." But I gave her a bite anyways.
Now for the interesting spiritual parallel the Holy Spirit gave me in this. We have a plate/bowl full of Jesus. There are people all around us spiritually sick and we refuse to take a little bit of Jesus off of our plates and share because we don't want to get sick too.
We deem some people sicker in spirit than others, for some it just may be a certain denomination, or the religion itself. New age, buddist, etc. Doesn't matter, they are indeed sick and dying spiritually and we are afraid to touch them for fear of getting their "spiritual" germs on us.
There are people all around us asking for a bite (some don't realize yet that it is Jesus that they are asking for) and we refuse just because we don't agree with their beliefs.
The very same Jesus Who healed you of your spiritual sickness will also heal them. Pick up your fork and share a little bit of Jesus today.
