MY BIGGEST FAN
"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31 NKJV
This has been my favorite Bible verse for as long as I can remember. When I think of this verse, I always imagine myself in the middle of a football field. While there are many people in the stands, only One matters. And it is for His cheers that I "play".
But there is so much more than that. My pastor sometimes talks about how people go to ball games (of any sort) and cheer wildly, dress "strange" and so forth. But they are so reserved in church. Doesn't our God deserve more cheers than our favorite team? While I agree, have you ever thought that God is YOUR biggest fan?
God is cheering for YOU! God is up in the stands, His T-shirt is off, a painted cross (no doubt in your favorite colors) on His belly. He is the One who starts the wave for YOU! No matter what you are going through He is cheering for you.
If a trial, He is holding up the big letter "D" and the fence, telling you that He believes in you and you can get thruogh this just fine. He is cheering you on to victory in the trial.
If you are basking in the glow of victory, He is cheering the loudest for you. Telling you, "I knew you could do it".
God loves you my friend, and He is your biggest fan.
